The part-time HVAC Instructor provides hands-on, career-focused training for adult learners in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. This role prepares students for employment in the HVAC field by building technical skills, safe work habits, and workplace readiness. Instruction includes both classroom learning and lab-based training aligned to industry standards.
This position is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys teaching others and helping adults build new career pathways.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary training preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of HVAC industry experience
- Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systemsKnowledge of refrigeration, electrical components, troubleshooting, and safe work practices
- Ability to teach adult learners with varying experience levels
- Holds or is eligible to obtain an Ohio Adult Education permit or appropriate licensure
- Ability to prepare students for industry-recognized credentials (ESCO, NCCER, OSHA 10)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Meets all health requirements mandated by law (e.g., tuberculosis test)
- Successfully passes BCI/FBI background check as required by Board policy
